Tucson is a Mecca of sports activity. It is the only city in the United States that provides a spring training venue for three major league baseball teams: the Chicago White Sox, the Arizona Diamond Backs, and the Colorado Rockies. Tucson host the springtime training camps thanks to the year-round warm temperatures and dry atmosphere unique to the region.

Tucson also offers a vast array of sports for all ages, both indoors and out. With four mountains surrounding the town, hiking is one of the favored sports. For young children, baseball and soccer are favored sports. There are also racquetball and tennis courts, and of course the world-famous golf courses. Horseback riding is also a favorite pastime in Tucson, with many trails to follow and a whole desert to explore.
