Bisbee began as a mining town but as mining declined the cheap price for land and the beauty of the town caused the town’s rebirth as an artist’s colony. The original town of Bisbe, now known as “Old Bisbee” is home to a thriving downtown cultural scene. Old Bisbee is also noted for its architecture, including its victorian houses and elegant art deco courthouse.
